Whip, Coaching and Relationships at #SalesConnect2015 – Segment #22

Today I’m posting from the Bellagio in Las Vegas. It’s Day 2 of LinkedIn’s Sales Connect conference. Day 1 was awesome! I got to see Shaq do the Whip ‘n Nae Nae  on stage; that was quite an experience!

The theme of this conference is Connect, Inspire & Transform; LinkedIn certainly did deliver on the theme.

1. Connection

Everyone at this event is very open to connecting; everyone seems to have the same belief in social selling success.  The dialog is centered around taking social selling to the next level which was fantastic; I connected and made lots of great relationships, including business relationships.

2. Inspiration

I was inspired by the innovations on LinkedIn’s new Social Selling Index, which is very exciting. Now I can coach on a quantifiable element of relationships. In the past it was harder to coach on this element; coaching using this tool will be much more useful and clear.

3. Transformation

I had a wonderful time at the training session I led yesterday, PublishorPerish.FM, Selling in the Age of Content Marketing.

There was a lot of energy in the room and a lot of audience participation. We talked about how to document your knowledge and expertise; how to transform from a sales leader to a thought leader. We offered “7 Steps and 1 Hack” and got so much great feedback from everyone in the audience and made some new friends. I got such great feedback that I will be offering this content in a series here on the PublishorPerish.FM vlog and blog.
